A Piece of Cake

It’s your big day and it’s your time to shine. All eyes are on you and everything needs to be absolutely perfect. The cake is very often the centrepiece following the ceremony and can either be traditional, contemporary or even something completely bespoke that relates to you both.

When deciding upon the cake flavour, it may be worth considering that your wedding cake doesn’t have to be all sponge or all fruit, why not have mixtures of both.  Having different fillings in your wedding cake is great for giving your wedding guest a choice on your reception buffet, or if you are serving your wedding cake as dessert during the wedding breakfast.

There is very often a colour that suits the couple’s theme, this could be in the way of the ribbon or the flowers or even one or two tiers being decorated with different coloured icing.  If you are thinking more traditional but with a vintage feel, a cluster of cascading roses is so elegant and timeless.

At Rina Roberts Bridal Wear we recommend Carina’s Cakes as they provide a personal and friendly service, from one-to-one design consultation, right through to wedding cake delivery and set-up. All the celebration and wedding cakes are made with the utmost attention to detail, to provide that special and memorable wedding cake for your celebration.

Carina advises ‘If you do see a cake from somewhere else or have your own ideas, a simple sketch or picture is normally all that is required but obviously remembering the amount of portions that are needed so that all your guests are accommodated’.
